-

THE FIRST SKATEBOARD MAGAZINE.

This title goes to The Quarterly Skateboarder, which debuted in 1964. Its fourth and final issue featured female skater Pat McGee on the cover, who was billed as: “one of the busiest – as well as perhaps the prettiest – in the sport.”

THE FIRST SKATEBOARD VIDEO.

The Bones Brigade Video Show began the still-thriving skate video genre when it was released in 1984 by Powell Peralta, and helped spark the 1980s skateboarding craze. BB members cast included Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen and Tony Hawk.

THE BIGGEST SKATE PARK.

The GMP Skatepark in Guangzhou, China, is 16,900 square meters (182,000 square feet) of skateable space – officially the world’s roomiest park.

THE MOST EXPENSIVE SKATEBOARD.

The most expensive skateboard was a Louis Vuitton X Supreme skateboard priced at $5,000. Jeffree Star bough one for his boyfriend. They didn’t just break the record, they broke the deck too.
