RENAISSANCE RENAISSANCE
“In my family, several
generations lost everything and had to start over many times. So my mother ingrained in us not to create or consume wastefully. Today, I’m continuing her idea that to be truly timeless an item has to be beautiful, wearable and well-crafted. My style is based on the philosophy of couture and
the female perspective on design that I absorbed while growing up in my mother’s atelier. I learnt
so much from her in terms of pattern-making, cutting, sewing, draping and so on. But beyond that, I assimilated lots of aspects that can never be taught technically, and
which she gained through her years of designing for women.”
