CONAI and Vogue Talents have joined forces to launch a new scouting project with a green soul.

The recovery and recycling of packaging materials are among the main aims of CONAI, the Italian Packaging Consortium. This is a private non-profit umbrella organisation of packaging producers and users, representing a total of some 750,000 companies. CONAI’s activity was decisive for the country because, almost 25 years ago, it marked the transition to a system based on a preventive approach, engaged in recovery and recycling. Thanks to the consortium system, which allows individuals to manage an interest of a public kind, environmental protection became a shared responsibility, which involves packaging, from production to its disposal. With its work, CONAI guarantees the attainment of the packaging recycling objectives set by the European Union, as well as spreading an environmental culture among companies, institutions and citizens. Precisely this commitment has brought CONAI closer to Vogue Talents, which has been active for years in this field, working together to launch a scouting project that aims to combine fashion and environmental sustainability. Using the packaging materials managed by CONAI – steel, aluminium, paper and cardboard, wood, plastic, biodegradable and compostable plastic, and glass – the candidates will have the opportunity to present a sustainable themed project to try and be among the winners.
