Cova Pas­tic­ce­ria

Founded in 1817, by none other than one of Napoleon's sol­diers, this is one of the Mi­lan's old­est pas­tic­ce­ria, an iconic place where tra­di­tion meets el­e­gance and style. On the oc­ca­sion of the 200th an­niver­sary, the venue has re­cently re-opened fol­low­ing a care­ful ren­o­va­tion pre­serv­ing the orig­i­nal Cova sig­na­ture look. Es­tab­lished as a pas­tic­ce­ria, it also of­fers a morn­ing espresso, a Mi­lanese-style risotto, an af­ter­noon tea with ar­ti­sanal pas­tic­cini and pra­lines or an even­ing aper­i­tivo. illy Caffè

In ad­di­tion to the launch of a de­sign store in Mi­lan's fu­tur­is­tic pi­azza Gae Au­lenti, sur­rounded by spec­tac­u­lar sky­scrapers, the Tri­este-based brand re­cently opened a new, ex­clu­sive lo­cale in via Montenapoleone, in the heart of Mi­lan. Neuhaus Maître Choco­latier

Zàini Mi­lano

In 2013, his­toric Mi­lanese cho­co­late fac­tory Zàini cel­e­brated its 100th an­niver­sary with the open­ing of a new space in Mi­lan. A time­less lo­ca­tion decked out with pe­riod fur­ni­ture and a counter at which cus­tomers can savour au­then­tic cakes, hot cho­co­late laced with vi­o­let flow­ers or rose buds, sweet treats and bread and cho­co­late. MARCH­ESI 1824's fa­mous panettone is dec­o­rated by hand, pre­pared us­ing a recipe based on two cen­turies of re­search and pas­sion. Its ex­quis­ite in­gre­di­ents in­clude raisins, can­died fruit, Bour­bon vanilla from Mada­gas­car, Ital­ian honey and trade­mark March­esi sour­dough.
