“All possible colours”. This is the motto of this iconic company established in the 1950s by Livio de Simone. Art impressed on cloth, from clothing to home fabrics right up to accessories

Not just fabrics, but art impressed on cloth, upholstery and accessories. Livio de Simone’s original patterns live on in the maison’s bright, textile- printed designs that made the history of the brand. The fabrics are embellished by the beautiful brushstrokes of “all possible colours”, the slogan originally coined by ‘ stylist- painter’ Livio de Simone, a Neapolitan lawyer who abandoned the profession in the 1950s to paint fabrics that captured the hearts of celebrities and socialites including Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Onassis. Today, the company is run by his daughter Benedetta ( for styling) and her husband, Andrea Musella ( Managing Director). With the collaboration of architect Giuliano dell’Uva, Benedetta and Andrea have drawn inspiration from the old family archives and now re- propose the prints and colours with which Livio began his entrepreneurial career in the 1950s. The de Simone family has always worked with textiles and still, today, continue to hand- print and dye their fabrics, using an artisanal technique invented by Livio in the Fifites. The company also produces ceramics, carpets and accessories featuring the signature designs and patterns that originally made Livio de Simone a household name. In addition to clothing, the brand also boasts beautiful collections of home furnishings, high- quality fabrics for upholstery, linen and gingham cushions and bedspreads but also finished products including ‘ 70’ s- style poufs and armchairs updated with a contemporary twist. The arrival of Easter will see the opening of a new corner shop in Capri’s piazzetta, at “La Parisienne”, an historic shop owned by the FioreSettani family, with whom the de Simones have collaborated since the 1960s. The entire universe of de Simone fabrics and colours will once again be available on the blue isle. A truly unmissable experience!
