Travelling with the star

An exhibition by Riccardo Dalisi that focuses on feelings and poor materials

Where Naples Coast & Islands - - WHERE NOW -

‘Travelling with the Star’, but, above all, with Riccardo Dalisi, who, until the end of January will showcase his works at an exhibition that focuses on feelings, poor materials and the nativity scene. Approximately 40 sculptural works in copper, wrought, welded and painted iron - 5 of which are life-sized - are exhibited alongside 40 drawings of various sizes. Riccardo Dalisi enlightens us about the symbolic meaning of his exhibition.“The splendour of a star, the dim light of dawn, the power of daybreak, the promise of a new life, the tenderness of a child, the delicate fragility of a bird, the docile strength of an ox or a donkey, the simple devotion inherent in the sweet sound of a bagpipe. Reliving the nativity scene arouses emotions: this is the meaning of Christmas, the festivity of festivities. My wise men in copper, my tin stars, my musicians crafted in wrought, welded or coloured iron come together in my nativity scene, in the hope that they will arouse new, heartfelt emotions.” Until 11 January 2016.
