Wel­come to Naples! June is the per­fect month to dis­cover our re­gion and the beauty of its is­lands which have reawak­ened in a blaze of colours and sounds af­ter the lethargy of spring and the si­lence of win­ter. This month, Where her­alds in the sum­mer of 2016 with a rich cal­en­dar of events and sug­ges­tions for all tastes! The dom­i­nant colour of this is­sue is blue, like the sea that washes up on the shores of sev­eral of our re­gion’s most mag­i­cal places in­clud­ing the Park

of Gaiola (page 10) and Posi­tano, the coast’s most pic­turesque town with ver­tig­i­nous houses tum­bling down to the sea in a cas­cade of lemon groves and flow­ers (page 14); blue like the colour of the flags awarded to Cam­pa­nia’s sea­side re­sorts, serv­ing as cer­ti­fi­ca­tion of their en­vi­ron­men­tal qual­ity. Luck­ily, there are also all man­ner of ex­cit­ing events tak­ing place this month for those who de­cide to stay in the city, in­clud­ing, for ex­am­ple, the last dates of the May of the Mon­u­ments event (page 34).
