At sunset on 1 July, in Piazzatta Tragara, a dialogue will take place between Erica Jong, an avid explorer of the female universe and Hanan Al-Shaykh, a Lebanese author who is considered one of the bravest contemporary Arab writers. On 2 July, young American author Garth Risk Hallberg will take to the stage to talk about his debut novel “City on Fire”, currently a real publishing success story in the USA. In his novel, Halberg describes New York as an overbearing, contaminated and rebellious city. On 3 July, the festival will end on a high note with a talk by Jamaican writer Marlon James, winner of the 2015 Man Booker Prize, the most important literary award in the UK.
