Eyebrow Evolution
One of the many fashion trends are eyebrows.you see supermodels, actresses, news anchors, youtube vloggers and even females you see on a daily basis having their own ‘on fleek’ eyebrows or following a trend. Let’s take a time travel into the evolution of
1920
This era, especially, in the film industry females did their eyebrows round, thin and dramatic. Take Clara Bow for example. Her eyebrows are a prime example of this.
1950
Time travel 30 years in the future from 1920, this era is after the infamous World War II that ended in 1945. Natural and full eyebrows made its way in 1940 and continued a decade later. The 1950 trademark eyebrow trend was a natural and subtle pointed arches look. A great pioneer for this one was Marilyn Monroe.
1980
The 1980s are well known for eyebrows that were full, thick, luscious and natural. A wonderful example is the famous actress and beauty icon Brooke Shields.
2010
Waxing and tweezing rekindled their friendship with females during this time stamp. Bold, angular, luscious and powerful eyebrows came in to effect that gave a gradient look. The eyebrow tail started with the darkest shade then up till the front brow where the area is the lightest. A prime example is the Kardashian Klan, specifically Kim Kardashian.
2018
On the time travel we’ve been accelerating 30 years forward since 1920. It’s time to slow it down and review the current era. The 2018 eyebrow trend started from the 2015 instragram ‘on fleek’ eyebrows with influencers like Patrick Starr. The ‘Instagram on fleek’ eyebrow look is brushed up, defined arch and luscious. The trend has continued and even more artistic creations that are used for fashion shows. These include wavy brows, bejeweled eyebrows, fishtail brows and emoji brows.
