Blessed with a voice that seemed ordained for music, Bitta knew he was a star from a tender age. The St. Ann native, who migrated to New York at age six said he discovered his ability to manipulate words and write songs at a very young age but due to personal circumstances his musical rise was delayed. “I discovered my ability to manipulate words and write songs at a young age. I however chose to pursue sports (American Football) instead of music because I was surrounded by Hiphop and not the Dancehall that I grew to love. In my second year of college I traveled to Jamaica to pursue a career in dancehall, but it was short lived. I was about to have my first child, and I choose family obligations over personal accolades. I was still actively sharpening my skills, even adding beat making and Rapping to my arsenal. I found a blend of Rap and Dancehall and turned my sights to the hiphop market. My unique sound attracted upcoming producers and rappers ... like Fred The Godson, and Dave East being the most recent. Now that I have learned the business in the Jamaican and American markets, I now turn to Jamaica to unveil my unique style and begin my rise,” stated Bitta. According to the multi talented artiste he believes you have to believe you are star before the world catches on as your potential and current fans can feel your aura and if you do not possess that intangible star quality then stardom is a mere dream. When questioned as to what makes him a star Bitta’s response was simple, “The Universe made me that way, some got it... some don’t.” Currently, Bitta is working with his in-house production and marketing team to increase his international profile while promoting his new single entitled, Uptop. The journey continues .... Stay Tuned... Bitta
