Impressive numbers at ‘Rotation’
MUSIC filled the air at The Pallet on North Avenue in St Andrew last Saturday, for the ninth staging of Cosmic Rotation, and patrons came out in impressive numbers.
Cosmic Rotation is a live music showcase which seeks to highlight the talents of up-and-coming acts as well as established performers. This staging featured Jamila Falak, T’jean, Jellis, Avante, Imeru Tafari and electronic reggae band Skygrass.
‘This staging was definitely a good one as patrons came out to see their favourite performer as well as to see what the new talent had to offer,” said event organiser Simon Bowden, who is lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Skygrass.
He continued: “The audience was engaged for the whole night, every artiste brought their own style and talent to the stage, keeping the show interesting throughout. Sweet melodies and instrumentation from Jamila Falak, T’jean and Jellis, energetic performances from Avante and Imeru, and engaging set from Skygrass kept the members of the audience inside the venue until the very end of the night.”
Started a year ago, Cosmic Rotation has been held at venues including Stone’s Throw on Mannings Hill Road, Serengeti at Hope Gardens and The Haven on Hillcrest Avenue.
The 10th edition of Cosmic Rotation, scheduled for December, will also be held at The Pallet.
“Next month we will have the last staging for this year, and we are aiming to make this one even more special,” Bowden added.
