Couples confess what they secretly hate about their partners

- By PENDA HONEYGHAN

NO matter how much you love someone or how healthy your marriage may be, chances are there will always be something about your significant other that drives you just a little crazy.

What does your wife or husband do that drives you up a wall? Below, some people spill the beans on some of the annoying habits that their partners have.

Shamone, 27, hairstylist:

To begin with, most men don’t observe small details. You will rearrange the entire room and they will realise little or nothing. Also, my husband can’t stick to a budget and his patience during shopping is very thin, so he will end up spending a million dollars on groceries because he doesn’t have the time or patience to shop around.

Kemar, 32, teacher:

I hate that my wife is jealous and insecure. It bothers me because there is no reason for her to be and she usually gets in a bad mood because of this.

Shaniece, 26, self-employed:

When he comes home, he will walk through the house with his shoes on and that annoys me.

Sani, 52, police officer:

I can’t stand that my husband cannot keep certain aspects of our relationship private; he has to share it with his nosy mother. I also dislike how he transforms around people outside of the marriage. He thinks he’s a family man, but actually, it’s just the sound of it that tricks him. He shares too much information with his friends and he criticises everything and everyone way too much. These are things that I haven’t yet called him out on, but they make him so unattractive to me.

Adrian, 39, business owner:

I hate that my wife pretends that she doesn’t smoke when I can smell it when she breathes. The smell is not just stifling, but it bothers me that she lies so casually. It also bothers me that even though my wife said that she forgave me for certain indiscretions, she judges me every chance she gets.

Laing, 32, police officer:

I really hate that he gets distracted by his phone.

Patricia, 39, nurse:

I hate when there is nothing in the sink and my husband leaves his plate and cup in there. I also get ticked off when my husband’s eyes are all over a woman’s body when I am right there. I find it disrespectful.

Tanya, 44, realtor:

I hate that my husband boasts about everything. He has to tell people about everything that he has or does, and I don’t like boastful persons. I also hate that he claps his mouth like a pig when he eats and slurps when he drinks.

Kerry, 30, soldier:

I hate that he doesn’t clean up after himself. I hate that he leaves the toilet seat open. And he will tell me to cook anything I want to but then when he gets home he will ask me if I couldn’t cook a specific thing. Also, no matter what I ask him to do, regardless of how urgent it is, he will take his own sweet time to get it done. Every single day he does something that makes me want to scream.
