A STOVE FOR MS GWENNIE

-

It was a bright day for 80-year-old Olga Smith, also called Ms Gwennie, of Epsom in St Mary when Icons of Annotto Bay, headed by New York-based Wyatt “Spur” Williams, presented her with a new gas stove along with a cylinder at her residence, at the end of a 14-day curfew that locked down sections of St Mary South Eastern. Here, Dr Nagendra Babu Chandlou (right), director of Icons, formally hands over the stove to Ms Gwennie at centre. Others involved in the presentation are (from left) Jahvawn Lewis; Norman Lewis, chairman of Epsom Primary School Board of Governors; and Sean Smith, Ms Gwennie’s grandson.
