Haughton's Rx

THE CONVENIENT PHARMACY

-

Haughton’s Pharmacy joined the Manchester Chamber of Commerce (MCOC) in the early 1990s. One of Mandeville’s oldest businesses, it was founded by Richard Henry Haughton in 1920 as Manchester Drug Store at 25 Manchester Road. A family-run business, third and fourth generation members of the Haughton family continue to operate the business. Through the MCOC, Haughton’s Pharmacy has been able to take advantage of networking and other businessrelated opportunities within the Manchester Community.

In 2020, Haughton’s proudly celebrates 100 years of dispensing and caring for its customers in Mandeville, the wider parish of Manchester and beyond. Exceptional customer service is the culture at Haughton’s Pharmacy, and commitment to the customer has motivated the company and its employees throughout its long history. The longest serving employee is Chief Pharmacist, Mr. Stafford Haughton, who has been a Pharmacist for 55 years, having received his Pharmacist license in 1965. Haughton’s has also given service to Manchester through its involvement in community service, supporting many charities, schools, football and other sporting clubs, civic associations and other community groups through donations and other resources.

Haughton’s Pharmacy takes its role as part of the community seriously, working with the MCOC as it lobbies for certain infrastructural developments through its Members of Parliament and the Municipal Corporation.

Haughton’s has helped shape Mandeville and Manchester as a great place to raise families and to conduct business.
