Message from the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA)

-

The Board of Directors, Members and Staff of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) express deep regret at the passing of Ms. Greta Bogues, former CEO of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) and first female CEO of the combined Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) and the Jamaica Bankers Association (JBA).

Jamaica’s productive sector has lost a revered business executive who has served the industry with vision and distinction. Ms Bogues’ role and impact has been undoubtedly felt across many key sectors, including that of manufacturing and distribution. She played a significant role in driving partnerships and building alliances that benefited both private and public sectors interests.

Her work and dedication, which went beyond the call of duty, supporting and promoting several philanthropic initiatives were truly admirable and speak to the quality of her character. She was determined to make a difference in the lives of others particularly through her tenures on various boards such as the

HEART Trust NTA. This was in addition to her voluntary service to community development through the St Andrew Parish Church.

We are certain that Ms Bogues’ legacy will continue to inspire countless others within the business industry to lead and serve with similar passion and zeal.

As we join in the celebration of Greta’s life and service, the JMEA offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, staff, and associates. May her legacy live on and may her soul rest in eternal peace.
