A Tribute to ‘Uncle Jacko’

-

I’m beyond grateful to have had you in my life. So blessed to have experienced your love and laughter. So blessed to have basked in your light and what seemed like your infinite wisdom. What I wouldn’t give for one more hug, another email, to see your eyes crinkle from laughing so hard, to hear your laugh once more, to have one last din din never before seen by man, to hear you say Sweets again.

You’ve left a void in our family that can never be filled. However in your wake, have left a living testimony of the life you lived and all you aspired for each and everyone of us to be. Both yourself and Aunty Marie built meaning into our lives and instilled the importance of family.

You both are and will forever be the essence of our family, the reason behind it all.

We never thought this day would come, as nonsensical as it sounds, I never thought about the day I would no longer have you here. My heart aches, but I find solace in knowing you’re no longer in pain. Uncle Jacko, if love were enough you’d still be here. What I wouldn’t give to have you here. They broke the mold with you, a timeless classic, never before seen or experienced by man.

Love,

Cathy
