Surrey royals and Surrey Kings will bring the curtain down on the inaugural Dream 11 Jamaica T10 Blast cricket competition when they contest Thursday’s final at Sabina Park in Kingston.

Start time is set for 1:30 pm.

The Royals, who topped the six-team preliminary table with 21 points from 10 games, have momentum on their side after finishing strongly with seven wins against only three defeats.

The Kings, clear leaders at the halfway stage of the preliminaries, suffered three losses toward the back end of the league phase to finish second with 19 points.

With both teams possessing numerous match winners, it should be an intriguing and explosive championship clash.

In Wednesday’s third-place play-off encounter, Middlesex Titans defeated Middlesex United Stars by 13 runs at Sabina Park.

Scores: Titans 88-2 (10 overs); United Stars 75-1 (10 overs)

Batting first after losing the toss, the Titans made a fairly modest 88-2 from their allotted 10 overs.

Errol Thomas made 37 not out from 29 balls, while opener added a 19-ball 29. The United Stars medium pacer Alwyn Williams had figures of 1-9.

The United Stars were muted in their run chase, getting to only 75-1 before their overs ran out.

Williams, who opened, made a 16-ball 20, while Damani Sewell and Daren Small had pedestrian unbeaten knocks of 27 and 19, respectively.

The Titans spinner Chevonie Grant (1-9) claimed the lone wicket to fall.

In the fifth-place play-off, contested earlier in the day at the venue, Surrey Risers were comfortable 38-run winners over Cornwall Warriors.

Scores: Risers 122-3 (10 overs); Warriors 84-3 (10 overs)

After being asked to take first strike, the Risers were powered to 122-3 by Ricardo Mcintosh (48) and Delbert Gayle (37).

In reply, the Warriors could only muster 84-3 as Damion Bryce made 42 not out.

Warren Campbell took 1-6 for the Risers. The league phase of the competition was wrapped up on Tuesday with the United Stars on 15 points, followed by the Titans (13), the Warriors (12) and the Risers (nine).
