Ding Dong’s birthday bash tonight

Anumber of dancehall’s biggest names are set to party with Ding Dong at his birthday bash tonight, Saturday, October 1. Dubbed World of Ding, the birthday party is scheduled for the National Stadium car park in St Andrew.

The dancehall deejay, choreograp­her, and Magnum brand ambassador promises an explosion of vibes and fun.

“Well, you know me, and you know we do it big — so it’s big vibes, big energy, pure excitement, and fun. This is a call to all my fans, unno come out come celebrate with me on October first, it nah go normal. The Ravers will be there and an exciting line-up of artistes. Unno can’t afford to miss it, so just pull up!” he disclosed in an Instagram video.

The event, which is being presented by Magnum Tonic Wine and others, is expected to be a stellar celebratio­n for the artiste’s big day.

Entertaine­rs Jahshii, Moyann, Laa Lee, reality television star and recording artiste Safaree, and up-and-coming artiste Marcy Chin are among those confirmed to share stage with Ding Dong.

Regional marketing manager for Magnum Kamal Powell says Ding Dong deserves the best.

“Ding Dong has been a big part of the Magnum family for years, and we are grateful for what we have accomplish­ed together as a team. He deserves the best, and so we are excited to participat­e in his celebratio­ns and help him to have a great birthday,” said Powell.

Born Kemar Ottey, Ding Dong is originally from the community of Nannyville in Kingston. He emerged on the music scene 16 years ago with the hit Bad Man Forward, Bad Man Pull Up. He has since carved out a niche as a dancer and recording artiste, scoring successive hits such as Dip Again, Skip to Ma Lu with Serani, Flairy, Stir Fry, Good Ting Dem (with Popeye Caution), Yeng Yeng, and Genna Bounce.

Ding Dong recently topped the charts with the summer hit Bounce.
