RFB delivers!
SUN, soca, swigs, and, of course, the spread of food were all the rage for the return of Bacchanal Jamaica’s Rum For Breakfast at Hope Zoo in St Andrew on Saturday.
People turned out in droves to enjoy the musical selections by well-known disk jockeys like Franco, Tyler, Cyclone, Fyahmatic, Matt Camps, and Patrick

Patrons also relished in the complimentary souvenirs in keeping with the ‘Mardi Gras’ theme and took every opportunity to indulge in the wide array of offerings available.
Michael Ammar Jr, co-director of the band, was particularly pleased to see scores of familiar faces.
“The feedback has been very good and, I mean, we’re seeing people that we’ve not seen out for maybe 10 years. It’s a lot; and they’re not old people — they’re in their 40s. So, that’s good because it means we have a very nice crowd,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
The inclement weather between Thursday and most of Friday resulted in a delayed set-up; however, Ammar Jr said his team miraculously made it all come together.
“Things are very good.
[It was] very last minute in terms of the décor [because] of the rain. But we worked Friday night and Saturday morning and got it done so everything came off exactly as planned,” he explained.
The party vibes was truly up-tempo and some patrons were overflowing with praise for the organisers, even indicating that the highly sought after event was worth every dollar.
Maxine Bramwell, an accounting clerk from St Ann, said Rum For Breakfast is always on her itinerary.
“It’s one of the most memorable events, and I’m particularly happy that they have improved on the options at the bar. The vibes and music are great,” she told the Observer.
Businesswoman Lindsay Brown shared that she was having a whale of a time.
“As usual, RFB delivers! There are no surprises here,” she said.
Next on the roster is Bacchanal Friday on March 21. Ammar Jr said all is set for that event.
“We’re pushing it hard starting today. It’s gonna be good because we have four really popular DJS in Jamaica and we’re looking to pull a big crowd to celebrate our 21st birthday. In addition, Xodus and Yardmas are joining us for the celebration, so it’s gonna be a great one,” he said.
