The Liguanea Lodge 1479 S.C. Returns

After two long years of virtual events, the Liguanea Lodge 1479 S.C. returns to a face-to-face Art auction on the grounds of Fort Charles, Stony Hill on June 3, 2023 at 7pm.

For this, their 30th anniversary, they will celebrate with continued elegance, style and sophistication, plus the addition of something extra special. In a similar spirit to the Rome and Berlin Art Prizes awarded internationally, they we will be launching the inaugural Liguanea Lodge Douglas Mcdonald Art Prize. The aim of this prize is to use net proceeds to award 2 million dollars (JMD) to an exceptional Jamaican artist, selected by a juried panel. This art prize is named in honour of Dr. Douglas Mcdonald, an esteemed member of the Liguanea Lodge and the conceptualizer of the annual Art auction

In this year’s Art Auction catalog are some to some of the most exquisite pieces of Jamaican Art. With 50 lots in total, the collection will showcase the talents of both our Old Masters and Contemporary Artists.
