Tribute from BRITISH AIRWAYS
Marcia Erskine had a longstanding relationship with British Airways and was a well-loved member of the BA family. Her association with British Airways spanned over 20 years, providing Public Relations services and communications support. During this period, she collaborated very closely with our Caribbean team as well as with colleagues at head office and she undertook many initiatives in support of commercial campaigns in Jamaica and across the region.
In addition to the day-to-day support, Marcia played a significant role in the successful delivery of several customer events and campaigns across our Caribbean gateways. These included new route activities, product launches and several milestone anniversary events. Marcia’s insights were highly valued, and she shared her expertise and experience and was passionate about our business. She helped to design fun and interesting itineraries for press trips, including flight simulator experiences, theatre shows, visits to museums and castles, sightseeing tours, as well as cultural and dining experiences. No trip was complete without afternoon British Tea and shopping for family gifts on Oxford Street. Marcia would always make sure everybody was comfortable and enjoying the trip and we will always treasure these amazing memories.
Marcia always found time for everybody, and she believed in hard work, having fun and caring for those around her and was passionate about ensuring everything was successfully executed. She had an unwavering commitment and love for her family and friends, and she exemplified all that is special about the Caribbean.
We have lost a great friend, and she will be deeply missed.
