Manchester City are top of the Barclays Premier League after another emphatic victory. On Wednesday, City won 5-1 at Tottenham with five different scorers. City have now scored 68 league goals in just 23 games.

Now they face a Chelsea side that dropped two points on Wednesday when they were held to a goalless draw by West Ham United, failing to score for the fifth time this season. The draw has poured doubt over their title aspirations; Chelsea are now third, three points behind City.

City return to the Etihad Stadium where their record so far in the Premier League has been perfect with 11 wins out of 11, 42 goals scored and just eight conceded. But like City, Chelsea’s away record is not as good as their home form. Jose Mourinho’s men have won only five away games and scored just only 18 away goals.

And Chelsea will be aware that they have lost on their last four league visits to the Etihad, conceding seven goals and scoring just twice. But when they met at Stamford Bridge earlier this season, the Blues stole the three points, with Fernando Torress netting a last-minute winner.
