Searching for mom’s family in Jamaica

- SHARON ROBINSON United Kingdom

I AM searching for the family of my mother, Hannah Veronica McDonald. She came to England when she was eight years old for a heart operation and was mistreated by her caregivers to the extent that the British authorities refused to give her back and kept her in the British system, so much so that she lost all contact with her family.

Her father’s name was Philip McDonald and her mother was Clarice Jolly of 49 Lower Tower Street, Kingston. My mum believes that both her parents have now passed away. Both parents were originally from St Andrew.

From what my mum can remember, she has two older brothers and one younger sister: Clinton Jolly (she only saw him once); Ronnie (Ronsford) McDonald (approximately 15 years older); Sandra McDonald (approximately nine years younger).

I don’t know how to go about finding anybody, and I do fear that so much time has passed that we may never know anything. But I can’t give up until I have tried every avenue.

My contact number is +447943847588 (UK). I may also be contacted by email at
