The NVR: Network Video Recorder
THE NETWORK video recorder, NVR, is similar to the DVR (digital video recorder), but more advanced in the way it is operated. The NVR is mostly used in online monitoring, or, more specifically, Internet surveillance systems that are not done by way of hardware devices to record but by use of a special software on one main device.
The basic function of a network video recorder is to ensure that the user has constant access to a live video stream. It is easily installed, supported by many digital camera systems and many businesses prefer to use NVR’s for security purposes.
