THE PRIVATE sector has since 1976 played a significant role in Jamaica’s development and continues to be one of the more important stakeholders in the partnership for Jamaica’s economic growth and prosperity.
We are heartened by your level of commitment to nation building; especially at this time when our Government continues to pursue and strengthen partnerships with the private sector for the achievement of our mutual agenda for economic growth and job creation.
Your members, through active participation in the association, have contributed directly to achieving changes that have been critical in shaping a better; more secure future for all Jamaicans. Of note are your contributions to tax reform and your lead role in discussions between key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, which have enhanced partnerships for shared prosperity.
Our Government, therefore, remains committed to creating policy frameworks and avenues for discussions that will certainly create an enabling environment for increased investments and economic growth.
