2016 Expo Jamaica on course with FLOW EXPO

-

THE JAMAICA Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) and the Jamaica Exporters’ Association’s (JEA) biennial Expo Jamaica has gotten a major boost for its 2016 staging with the addition of telecommunications and media firm FLOW as its title sponsor. On board to the tune of $6 million in cash and kind, FLOW’s partnership is an indication of the expo’s mission to represent the best that Jamaican businesses have to offer.

In fact, the 2016 staging will facilitate a significant expansion of the offerings to both local and international buyers and sellers, with the spreading of the expo into the National Indoors Sports Centre. In previous years, the expo has been staged in the National Arena exclusively. However, through this expansion, which represents 90 additional booth spaces, the 43th staging is indicating the positive upsurge and demand for quality Jamaican goods and services. Additionally, the Government’s proposed $60-million facelift for the arena will undoubtedly result in a more pleasant trade experience.

Aptly themed the ‘Business Hub of the Caribbean’, the range of products, covers manufacturing, agriculture, tourism and services, will reach out to an extensive targeted audience of local, regional and international buyers’ from over 25 different countries. Ultimately, offers exhibitors the opportunity to globalise their brands in a way that will generate real revenue and visibility.

“The expo Jamaica team has aggressively crafted the phenomenal growth and evolution that our trade show has gone through since we restarted in 2004. expo Jamaica 2016 is a testament and proof of all the great things that has happened, with increased demand from exhibitors, consumers, local and international buyers for more floor space and products. We have answered the call and have now doubled our exhibition space, the number of booths and products by adding the National Indoor Sports Centre along with the National Arena. This undertaking is massive and unprecedented and quite fitting for a show of such economic importance. FLOW’s sponsorship is immense and will go a long way to our aggressive focus of creating the perfect platform for buyers and sellers to conduct real business,” said Aswad Morgan, cochairman, EXPO Jamaica 2016 and a JEA director.

VIBRANT GLOBAL BRAND

As Jamaica strives to leverage all its equity in business and culture towards developing a vibrant global brand that meets the need and demands of a competitive international marketplace, the partnership of FLOW alongside the JMA, and the JEA is timely and speaks to a mutual understanding of the synergy needed among buyers and sellers and how we chose to develop and share the stories and processes of exporting and monetising our businesses.

Garfield Sinclair, CEO of FLOW, stated that his company is delighted to once again to be a partner on this excellent initiative,
