SUPREME VENTURES Limited (SVL) has donated $500,000 to Jamaica’s Paralympic team, which leaves for the Paralympic Games in Rio, Brazil, on August 30.

Alphanso Cunningham and teammates Shane Hudson and Dana-Gaye Weller will compete at the 2016 Rio Paralympics Games from September 7-18.

In June, 10 high schools received 1,500 tickets to watch the JAAA-SVL National Trials at the National Stadium. SVL has been title sponsor of the annual event for 13 years, pumping some J$16 million into this year’s staging. The company also sponsored the recently staged Junior Championships.

“This is perhaps the most important event on our sporting calendar, and we are proud to have our name associated with a meet of this magnitude and the extraordinary talent that will be on show at the stadium,” said SVL President and CEO Brian George at the time.

Denbigh, Denham Town, Porus, Calabar, Tacky, Yallahs, Edwin Allen, DeCarteret, Holmwood and Kingston College received 50 tickets each for the bleachers’ section of the stadium.
