Jason Delvaille’s tips for healthy cooking:
Reduce the use of salt and oil.
Replace salt with more natural seasonings.
Grill meats instead of frying.
Choose lean meats and fish.
Replace meat proteins with beans, peas and legumes.
Try not to add unnecessary sugar and starches to sauces.
Limit the additional starches added to a meal.
Where possible, switch to wholegrain products and complex carbohydrates such as ground provisions.
