The Island Traffic Authority plays an important role within the Ministry of Transport and Mining as far as regulations and maintenance of proper standards for motor vehicles are concerned. The body was established to that vehicles operating on Jamaica’s roads are roadworthy and compliant with the requisite guidelines under the law.
