Start with Executive Charm
EXECUTIVE CHARM, with visiting Panamanian jockey Dick Cardenas aboard, can give Sunrise-6 punters a good start in tomorrow’s Hall Of Fame race day at Caymanas Park.
The four-year-old filly has finished in front of all her main rivals in the past four months, and with the distance perfect, can either go in front or come from off the pace. EXECUTIVE CHARM is the only horse in the field with sub-1:21.0 (twice this year) for 1300 metres and should be followed home by FLYING MACHINE and PROUD PRESIDENT.
Race Two is a very knotty event as the three-year-olds are improving rapidly at this time, and I would not be surprised if a big-price winner turns up. On past performances, however,
ARTHUR’S DREAM, trained by Gary Subratie, looks the likely winner. She won on debut then ran a cracker behind classic aspirant Lightning Lily going 1100 metres on May 20. The winner clocked 1:06.3 while ARTHUR’S DREAM was a close third in 1:06.4. With normal improvement, the Deputy Glitters-Spaced Out filly should get down to at least 1:06.1 over the same distance tomorrow.
TOO MUCH PACE
PRINCESS EMANUELLE won over 1000 metres straight in decisive fashion on May 27 and can complete the double over the same distance tomorrow. Ahead of that event, Peter McMaster’s filly had been outclassing her highly rated stable companion, Choo Choo Blue, at exercise. She is still training well and will have too much pace for her rivals.
ACTION CRUISE is another banker in Race Four. She has had several good performances over this distance in the $180,000 claiming group and will be too good for this largely out-of-form 10-horse field.
A favourable outside draw gives MARKET SENSATION a distinct advantage in Race Five. The Dwight Chen-trained filly was third to Big Mistake, with PATCH in second, going 1200 metres on May 27. PATCH is back tomorrow at post position one, but MARKET SENSATION is drawn at 10 and should be motoring home best of all at the end.
The winner for Race Six should come from one of PIANO MAN and BIG BLACK NATION. The latter has, however, been running some indifferent races in the recent past, so the nod goes to PIANO MAN. The Anthony Nunes-trained gelding will race in blinkers, so expect him to be up with the leaders before pulling clear in the last furlong. Stable jockey Linton Steadman will ride.
