A significant achievement

CONGRATULATIONS TO Dr Jeffrey Meeks and the staff at Islandsmiles on the significant achievement of 30 years of providing orthodontic care in Jamaica.

As a grateful former patient, I had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand, the quality care that is delivered to your patients. Islandsmiles administers oral health care in a compassionate, professional and fun environment. Corrective orthodontic treatment is just as necessary as preventative dental treatment, however, as orthodontics involves much more than a purely cosmetic undertaking.

It is estimated that more than 30 per cent of people have malocclusion and misalignment of the teeth and jaws, significant enough to benefit from specialist orthodontic treatment.

It is important to regularly visit the dentist, to stay on top of our dental and oral health as dental treatment keeps teeth clean, fresh and cavity free, while orthodontic treatment also helps to monitor the health of the mouth and gums, and to note issues quickly should they arise. It is in this regard that I recognise the invaluable contribution of the Islandsmiles team.
