SUMMER IS over. Yup, another summer is done and you still don’t have that summer body yet. What now? Do you continue the cycle? Do you give up? What if there is another way; a better way?

Let’s get this out of the way first: Yes, it is possible.

Okay, so how do you do it? First, you have to understand one thing: those summer bodies you aspire to aren’t made in – or just before – summer. They are the result of living a healthy lifestyle year-round. So it’s about more than looking good. It’s about taking care of you so you can be your best self.

The benefits are endless. A healthy lifestyle improves not just looks, but confidence as well as mental and physical health. Those last two aren’t benefits we – both as individual­s and as a nation – can do without, given the prevalence of non-communicab­le diseases and the massive impact these have on our families and our economy as a whole.

A healthy lifestyle could mean the difference between living a long, active life and spending massive amounts of money to ease suffering brought on by conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or some cancers.
