Red Key offers BPO solutions in western Jamaica

-

There are quite a few providers in Kingston so we want to be able to be the ones people think of first in western Jamaica. When they think of opening a call centre they should think of Red Key Solutions at the same time.

Jason Wright, managing director for Red Key Solutions Limited, a company offering IT and electronic security in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, believes his firm can become a major player in the South American and Caribbean regions. However, his immediate goal, before extending internationally, is to corner the market in western Jamaica.

“Ideally, I am really looking to get into other Caribbean islands. We have actually had a couple of our clients flying our technicians over to do projects elsewhere, so the long-term goal is to provide the service throughout, especially South America and the Caribbean. That is the ultimate goal for me right now when it comes to Red Key,” said the Devry University graduate who returned to Jamaica some 12 years ago from Canada; where he was heavily involved in IT.

“There are quite a few providers in Kingston, so we want to be able to be the ones people think of first in western Jamaica. When they think of opening a call centre, they should think of Red Key Solutions at the same time. That is the goal that I am going after,” Wright declared.

Officially formed in June of this year, Red Key Solutions, which offers IT services, emerged from Shadow Guard Security, which Wright formed a decade ago.

“We offer everything IT: cabling, network configuration, the entire design phase of it. Then we have the electronic security side where we try to mesh both sides of the technology together. So you have the IT side and the electronic security side, which covers the camera systems, access control and alarm system,” explains Wright. “We recently started doing electrical services as well. What we are trying to do is like being a total-solutions provider, especially for the corporate clients that we have,” the Red Key Solution boss declared.

LOVED SECURITY SIDE OF THE BUSINESS

Ironically, when he returned to Jamaica, his intention was to delve into the security side of the business, but he has now made a full circle.

“I initially loved the security side of the business, but it has become too hectic,” he shared.

Although conceding that the field is competitive, Wright said he remains undaunted as his company has fostered a reputation to deliver the goods.

“It’s competitive, but at the same time we try to separate ourselves with the service that we give. Oftentimes, we give the fastest turnaround time, and we give excellent professionalism, whether it is a small project or a big project,” Wright noted. “We have actually been able to hold our own for a time without even advertising because our work usually does the advertising for us, so it is always word of mouth that we get our clients,” he claimed.

In the meantime, he is anticipating that the BPO sector will to take off further.
