OLIVIA LEIGH Campbell is manager, strategic initiative­s for Sutherland Global Services, one of the fastest-growing business process companies operating in Jamaica. In her current role, Olivia is responsibl­e for piloting initiative­s to drive the company’s growth and expansion to 10,000 profession­als in Jamaica, as well as with managing stakeholde­r relationsh­ips locally.

Specifical­ly, Olivia is responsibl­e for developing and executing Sutherland’s education and training initiative­s in Jamaica, including the Sutherland University Model and its Education for Employment programmes.

A journalist by profession, Olivia has worked at media houses in Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago, and continues to be a contributo­r to publicatio­ns, including MACO Caribbean Living and Sandals Style. Prior to joining Sutherland, Olivia was a communicat­ion specialist at the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining. She holds a BA in history, anthropolo­gy and africana studies from Franklin and Marshall College, where she was a John Kryder Evans Scholar.

Olivia currently serves as a director of the Business Process Industry Associatio­n of Jamaica, sits on the National BPO Oversight Committee, and is a director of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, where she is responsibl­e for government relations and for the administra­tion of the Manchester Police Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenanc­e Fund.
