THE COMPANY’S operations managers have achieved the professional designations as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Certified Protection Professional (CPP). These designations prove that they now have the demonstrable knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk analysis; integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of security measures. To complement that, recently, six of the company’s managers completed intensive training in the internationally acclaimed Reid Technique Of Investigative Interviewing And Positive Persuasion.

Hawkeye also received Level Two HEART certification for industrial security operations for its Group Training Centre from the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET).

The certification makes Hawkeye the only private-security firm NCTVET-certified at Level Two for industrial security by Jamaica’s certification body for technical and vocational skills training.

“Hawkeye Group Training Centre is dedicated to the education and training in the field of security operations and is now the only such institution operated by a private-security firm,” Laing said.

“The HEART certification of the Hawkeye Group Training Centre is just one aspect of an annual investment of over $20 million in professional development. We are particularly please because certification from NCTVET means that Hawkeye’s training programme is also recognised in other jurisdictions in CARICOM and the Commonwealth,” Laing said.

Hawkeye currently offers training for their internal team members. However, the intention is to extend this training to other persons who wish to pursue a career in the security industry.
