Hawkeye receives internatio­nal recognitio­n

Sharon Laing, Hawkeye’s general manager for group human resources and operations, displays the Profession­al Certificat­ion Board honour of the American Society of Industrial Security.

HAWKEYE ELECTRONIC Security Limited was selected for a certificat­e of special recognitio­n from the Profession­al Certificat­ion Board (PCB) of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), the global leader in security profession­al developmen­t and education that governs 242 chapters worldwide.

The presentati­on was made during the 63rd ASIS Internatio­nal Annual Seminar and Exhibits, hosted in Dallas, Texas, from September 25-27, 2017, where more than 20,000 global security stakeholde­rs were in attendance.

Hawkeye was the only recipient of an award in Jamaica (Region 7B) and marks the company as one of two organisati­ons worldwide to receive this particular award.

website,” said Joseph Rector, chairman of the PCB in an official statement to the company.

Sharon Laing, Hawkeye general manager for group human resources and operations, said that the award is testament to the company’s commitment to excellence, continuous improvemen­t, and a profession­al code of conduct.

“ASIS’s certificat­ion is a visible acknowledg­ement of the mastery of core security principles and skills essential to the best practice of security management,” Laing said.

“We thank the local chapter of ASIS for nominating us for this award and facilitati­ng the training opportunit­ies for our security profession­al developmen­t; our board of directors for its endorsemen­t for training and developmen­t; and our team members, who participat­ed in the various opportunit­ies in enhancing our skills and profession­alism in this industry,” Laing added.
