HAWKEYE ELECTRONIC Security Limited was selected for a certificate of special recognition from the Professional Certification Board (PCB) of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), the global leader in security professional development and education that governs 242 chapters worldwide.
The presentation was made during the 63rd ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits, hosted in Dallas, Texas, from September 25-27, 2017, where more than 20,000 global security stakeholders were in attendance.
Hawkeye was the only recipient of an award in Jamaica (Region 7B) and marks the company as one of two organisations worldwide to receive this particular award.
“Your company’s contributions and support are an inspiration to private and public employers throughout the world. As an award recipient, Hawkeye Electronic Security Limited will be featured in the September Fast Five e-news, the ASIS Show Daily newspaper at the 2017 ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits and the October 2017 issue of Security Management magazine, as well as on the ASIS International
website,” said Joseph Rector, chairman of the PCB in an official statement to the company.
Sharon Laing, Hawkeye general manager for group human resources and operations, said that the award is testament to the company’s commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and a professional code of conduct.
“ASIS’s certification is a visible acknowledgement of the mastery of core security principles and skills essential to the best practice of security management,” Laing said.
“We thank the local chapter of ASIS for nominating us for this award and facilitating the training opportunities for our security professional development; our board of directors for its endorsement for training and development; and our team members, who participated in the various opportunities in enhancing our skills and professionalism in this industry,” Laing added.
