NEW PORSCHE CENTRE OPENS OUT WEST

WESTERN BUREAU:

AT 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening, a ‘Rain or Shine, See You Tonight’ message flashed across the screens of smartphone users, holding an invitation for the grand opening of the Porsche Centre Montego Bay.

Despite the showers that inundated the streets of the Second City for hours, there was nothing that would stop Jamaica’s luxury-car lovers from keeping this appointment with fate.

This was the second Porsche centre on the island, having opened its doors in Kingston earlier this year, and the Bogue City Centre could now boast its pride of place. Operating under the specially created division, ATL Motorsports, Porsche has sister companies, Volkswagen and Audi as its closest family members.

Opened officially by Prime Minister Andrew Holness; and Adam Stewart, CEO, ATL Automotive; and Porsche Latin America Network Development Manager Jose Cabre, the synergy and synchronisation in the showroom was eclectic.

“ATL Automotive, like Porsche, has evolved and maintained its position as one of the leaders in the industry by taking a stance of continued evolution and never standing still,” stated Stewart, who also added that investment was at the forefront of any good business model.

“We believe in Western Jamaica, we believe in the people that live and work here, and unlike many others, we believe they deserve the best of everything. Bigger and better. If anyone needed further proof, I can tell you. If you hadn’t realised, when ATL Automotive builds showrooms, it builds two.”
