WESTERN BUREAU:

AN ART tour of the Ashley lifestyle was how the creative minds at the Ashley HomeStore introduced Montego Bay to its newest addition last Wednesday night.

From the vantage point where vintage meets casual, to the very edgy urbanology, the Ashley HomeStore at Fairview opened its doors in the Second City with implicit elegance and quiet pageantry.

The sounds of a harpist announced the vintage lifestyle to guests, while the vibration of drums played host to what Ashley terms as urban chic.

It was a delightful evening, beautifully enhanced by the melody of the Hatfield Folk and Cultural Group, and the harmony of the indomitable trio, Pa-Ka-Ge.

Hosted by Montego Bay’s voice of reason, Marline Stephenson-Dalley, guests experienced an elevated aspect of the Ashley Art Tour, as the MC invited them to feel the inspiration of contemporary living.

The store was officially opened by managing director of Unicomer (Jamaica) Limited, Dennis Harris; head of the Ashley Business Unit, Unicomer Caribbean, Malcolm Steel; and Frank Dacal, vice-president, international sales; along with general manager, Jamaica, Pamille Shaw-Blair.

The new location is a split-level store boasting an 8,000 square foot showroom, and interior architectural design, which includes complete home furniture room settings, down to the final detail of table lamps and area rugs.
