JN Bank is all about building communities

MAUREEN HAYDEN-CATER, managing director of Jamaica National Bank has said the company is about serving and building communities in which its branches are located, as she highlighted the success of the third Heroes in Action Run/Walk, held recently in Falmouth, Trelawny.

“The truth is, JN Bank is about people, and yes, we have a branch in Falmouth. That is important, because we want to serve our people wherever they are. However, that is not enough. We believe that the activities and benefits of this Heroes in Action Run/Walk will confirm that The Jamaica National Group puts people first and that JN Bank is here to serve the people of Trelawny,” she said while commending the organisers of the Heroes in Action Run/Walk – the JN Foundation and the Usain Bolt Foundation. Some 1,600 persons from across the country participated in the event, which was held on Sunday, October 15, in Falmouth.

“I believe that this event demonstrates that not only persons in Trelawny, but many others across the country are coming here to assist persons in the parish to help to build the parish,” she said.

Hayden-Cater underscored the importance of Falmouth to the JN Bank. “Our branch in Trelawny used to be one of our smaller MoneyShops, however, we have upgraded it to a full-service branch. We are happy to serve the people of this parish,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mayor of Falmouth Colin Gager, commended the organisers of the event.

“Thanks to JN Foundation and the Usain Bolt Foundation for partnering to mount this event and for choosing the Trelawny Infirmary as the beneficiary from the funds raised. We are indeed short of many things here, therefore, this run/walk will benefit us and we are thankful,” he said.
