The exclusive Jamaican distributor for L’Oreal Cosmetics, Maybelline and NYX, Essie, Hempz Body & Skin Care and Absolute New York, their tour kicks off on Thursday, November 30 and ends with a grand make-up party at Fontana Pharmacy in Kingston on Saturday, December 2.
Jamaicans will have the opportunity to meet Ivan and learn the tricks from a pro, as the tour takes him to eight locations in the Corporate Area.
The chock-full tour will include: Monarch Pharmacy in Barbican and Discount Centre on November 30, Friday, December 1, takes him to Discount Beauty, Beauty Warehouse in Portmore and Monarch Portmore. Saturday, December 2, includes Monarch Sovereign, EC Makeup Bar (inside Lee’s Fifth Avenue) and Fontana Barbican.
Jamie Ivan Martinez was born and raised in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. His love for beauty led him to study at Rogie’s Cosmetology School, where he graduated with honours. His talent allowed him to win the hairstylist and bridal competition at the Miami Beach International Beauty Show.
For the last six years, he has worked for Estee Lauder and Bobbie Brown, doing seminars and events. His expertise has also been present backstage at many runways and fashion shows in Puerto Rico. He recently joined the Maybelline brand as an international make-up artist for the Caribbean – an opportunity to help women do wonderful things with their make-up.
