BMW & MINI GET NEW HOME

- Latara Boodie Gleaner Writer

LAST SATURDAY, what is described as the biggest disruption in the history of Jamaica’s automotive industry, occurred in the form of the grand opening of the new home of BMW and Mini on Lady Musgrave Road.

It was a full house that came out to witness what many say is the fastest constructed buildings in Kingston.

The First-World design of the new home took only 101¼2 months to make the transition from concept to reality. The building features a 10-car showroom and eight lift centres, which will allow the company to provide exceptional after sale service.

“You are here to witness the start of a new and exciting journey,” said ATL Automotive Managing Director Mike Ellenthorpe, beaming with pride. “This is a proud installation here in Kingston, which will produce the highest quality service,” confirmed managing director of the BMW Group Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, Antonio Antela.

Chief executive officer and deputy chairman of the ATL Automotive Group, Adam Stewart, announced that this was the shake-up the automotive industry needed, and the right Stewarts are here to provide it. “We are taking things to higher heights,” said Stewart, as he described the transformation of the area into a lifestyle centre.

Fireworks, coupled with a spectacular multimedia presentation, commemorated the grand opening of an exciting new chapter for BMW and Mini in Jamaica.
