Let us remember the reason
THE EDITOR, Sir:
THIS EASTER season, amid the church attendance, family visits, sporting and traditional bun eating, let us remember the reason.
In this period, Jesus Christ the Saviour endured a period of testing, and He once prayed so intensely that His sweat became like drops of blood. He was then to experience betrayal, beatings, and was crucified to death. But afterwards, He arose triumphantly for the redemption of humanity.
So while we consume our bun and cheese and fish, l et us remember our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I would like to acknowledge persons in the public domain who have exhibited great care, professionalism, and duty of service.
All this I experienced a little over a week ago , and their actions are deemed Christ-like.
Mr Imran Rocheste, of the May Pen Fire Department, was called about a raging bush fire. He was very professional and reassuring as I panicked; Ms Deniece Bryant of the May Pen Tax Administration Office who exhibited great care, patience, and a meticulous approach to problem solving.
Ms Rosemarie Hayles of the May Pen JTA Credit Union office has always been pleasant, professional, and made repeated phone calls to reach me on a matter.
The team of Drs Reddy of Bryants Crescent in May Pen are excellent in their delivery of medical care and show great kindness and love for humanity.
