Welcome to Montego Bay
FOR THE last few months, Kiwanians in Jamaica have been actively involved in a plethora of planning and promotional activities centred around hosting the 2018 convention of the Eastern Canada and the Caribbean District of Kiwanis International.
Our hard-working host committee is extremely delighted that the time is finally here to welcome our guests to beautiful Montego Bay and to the Montego Bay Convention Centre, the Caribbean’s leading meetings and conference centre. Delegates from across Eastern Canada, The Bahamas, Curaçao, Antigua, Grenada, Aruba, Barbados, Dominica, Suriname, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, and, of course, Jamaica will truly experience the beauty of Montego Bay while doing business, having fun, and rendering altruistic service.
DYNAMIC PACKAGE
We have put together informative forums, dynamic and inspirational speakers, and great entertainment showcasing the diversity of Jamaica’s rich culture. When not on the convention floor, we know our visitors will enjoy our beautiful beaches, warm and friendly people, and iconic attractions.
For 103 years, Kiwanis has been a vibrant global organisation that changes people’s lives for the better. Here in Jamaica, for the last 54 years, Kiwanis has been a very visible and valuable element of the social fabric of volunteerism that benefits the entire community. An important component of this year’s convention will be reaffirming our commitment to service as we join hands and hearts to complete our district project, The Howard Cooke Resource & Learning Centre. We are sure of one thing: #KidsneedKiwanis!
The execution of the convention and district project has been made possible because of the kind support of both privateand public-sector organisations. Your donations serve to further confirm the importance of the service Kiwanians do for our communities. We thank you.
I invite you all to ‘Love the Vibes, Share the Spirit, and Live the Experience’ in beautiful Montego Bay as our host team makes this convention one participants will remember for a long time to come.
