Leader of change in the movement

-

THE PUBLIC Sector Employees Co-operative Credit Union Limited has been a financially stable credit union to its members and its wider stakeholder community over the past 50 years.

Fifty years in the life of any organisation is indeed a significant milestone worth celebrating, and your growth of membership from 70 to its present number of 8618 is a testimony to the quality service provided.

Your membership base comprising individuals from the merger between the National Security Employees Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (NSECCU) and the Jamaica Special Constabulary Cooperative Credit Union Ltd endures so that these persons can carry out their important functions with the assurance that there is an organisation that is taking care of their financial needs.

The credit union continues to remain resolute, providing a wide range of products and services and has transformed itself into a new entity through rebranding and name change to be the Public Sector Employees Co-operative Credit Union Limited. This action is indeed a strategic move that put the credit union at higher place in visioning.

The financial performance of the credit union continues to show positive growth evidenced by total savings of more than $1.3 billion, total assets of more than $2.1 billion, and loan portfolio of more than $1.6 billion as at December 2017.

As the regulators of the movement, we are committed to providing support and guidance in keeping with good governance standards and statues, thus ensuring that the credit union’s operations continue to withstand the highest level of probity while safeguarding the members’ interests and the credit union brand.

It is anticipated that the Public Sector Employees Co-operative Credit Union will achieve, through strategic vision and action, many more successful years for its members as the credit union has been seen as a ‘leader of change in the movement’.

Once again, please accept congratulations on the achievement of your 50th anniversary and best wishes for future success.
