Business has been great for Redkey Solution
WITH VAST experience in information technology, a passion for the security business, and the absence of a firm offering these solutions under one roof in western Jamaica, Jason Wright gave birth to what would eventually become Redkey Solution Limited.
His initial plan was to capture a share of the markets in South America and the Caribbean, but the evolution of the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector in Jamaica, more so, Montego Bay, also provided a great opportunity.
“I saw a need for a company that could offer all our services under one roof which would make decision making easier for my clients and prospective clients,” Jason Wright, managing director at RedKey Solution Limited, told BPO Jamaica.
“My first client was Mr Yoni Epstein at Island Outsourcers, now ItelBPO (Smart Solutions), and he still remains one of my clients,” he added.
“Initially, [we offered] electronic security installations, which includes access control, CCTV, alarm systems and fire-detection systems,” recounted Wright, a Devry University graduate. “These are products and services that enhance an operation, especially in the outsourcing sector where data protection is an integral part of any operation.
“The best way to do this (protect data) is by limiting access electronically to only certain people to certain areas and, in turn, monitoring these areas via CCTV systems, especially using video analytics.
“Let’s not forget that we have to protect the staff and the physical buildings themselves, and that’s where the intrusion alarms and fire, detection systems come into play,” Wright related.
Business has been great for RedKey since Wright signed his first client in the BPO industry. It is now recognised as the premier service provider of information technology (IT) and electronic security for the sector.
The company has also expanded its range of products to a full line of IT services to include contracted support for smaller companies or start-up operations that can’t afford the staff in the early stages. “We do the full line of data cabling to include fibre cable, UPS installation, electrical consultation and installation. Consultation on call centre layout and design has also become a part of the company’s repertoire.
“The BPO sector is very important to my operation because the sector has such a symbiotic relationship to almost every aspect of business in Montego Bay,” Wright explained.
“This sector provides the employees, who buy from our other clients that are not associated with the sector. The employees, in turn, buy houses and use our services for their alarms, cameras and gates.
“So, this sector directly aids every single business in Montego Bay and on the north coast in general, which can only work to everyone’s benefit,” Wright reasoned.
