BPIAJ FÊTES BPO DADS
THE BUSINESS Process Industry Association of Jamaica (BPIAJ) celebrated fathers in the sector at the inaugural Young Men in BPO fête at the Pelican Grill in Montego Bay on the eve of Father’s Day.
The evening was dominated by discussions on Messi’s penalty miss in Argentina’s opening game in World Cup 2018 in Russia, expectation of a victory by Brazil on Father’s Day, and food.
“We are always focusing on the women, and we know that
you are also great contributors to the industry, leading great teams and are standout performers in comparison to many of your peers across the world,” BPIAJ boss Gloria Henry told the men, who, along with one of their children, were fêted for the evening.
“You are some of the pillars holding up this sector in Jamaica. So, we felt that this was an opportunity to bring you all together and celebrate your successes and contributions,” added Henry.
The fathers were urged to take their rightful place as head of their families not only as financial providers, but also as protectors from the physical, emotional and spiritual standpoints by Conrad Robinson regional manager for JAMPRO.
Robinson, who is dubbed the unofficial chaplain of the sector, challenged the males to also be game changers to inspire the next generation to become responsible fathers.
