NATIONAL HOUSING Trust (NHT) and Jamaica National will square off in the final of the Triple A Sports T20 Classic competition on Sunday at the National Water Commission (NWC) field starting at 1 p.m.

In the third place play-off, NWC will meet Sagicor Group, starting at 10 a.m.

The competition’s technical director, Alfred Thompson, is anticipating a close and exciting final.

“The teams have some very good players in their respective squads, so I am expecting a tight game between Jamaica National and NHT. In the preliminary round, JN beat NHT, but it is a final and anything can happen,” Thompson told The Gleaner.

Thompson pointed out that each team must have four students in their line-up. These students can be from a high school or a tertiary institution.

“In this competition, each team must include four students playing cricket in order for them to gain financial assistance towards their education,” he said.

“The aim is also for each team to be managed by an employee to build good relationship in the workplace,” Thompson added.

Jamaica National will rely on playermanager Kerry Scott, former Jamaica batsman Delroy Morgan, and Richard Johnson. NHT’s main players include captain Kehute McKenley, Kirk Harris, and Delbert Gayle.
