1960: Minister of Housing and Social Welfare Glendon Logan waves goodbye at the Palisadoes Airport on August 17 as he boards the aircraft for New York en route to the Olympic Games in Rome. Logan went as minister in charge of sports and made a bid to have the Empire Games staged in Jamaica in 1966.
