‘Tata’ reaches 108
PATRIARCH CHARLES Edward James of Hopewell, Westmoreland, last week celebrated his 108th birthday with friends and family hailing the man they affectionately call‘Tata’.
Born August 17, 1910, Tata is the oldest person in his district and one of the oldest in Jamaica. Tata, who was predeceased by his lifelong love, his wife Louise, is the father of seven children, six alive, and a host of grand, great grand, great-great grand and great-great-great grandchildren.
He is in good health and supports himself independently in his day-to-day activities.
