Sole Cyber Café offers Internet facilities to Old Harbour students

-

OLD HARBOURBASED Sole Cyber Café is now offering Internet and surfing to students, and as an incentive, is offering three hours of free, Internet access until the end of October.

After a student has completed his or her free access, the student would be charged a fee of J$50 per half an hour.

“We believe it’s important for all persons, especially pupils, to be able to get online regardless of where they may live or their socio-economic background,” said Eric White, owner of Sole Cyber Café.

“Three and a half years ago, we successfully opened our first location in Linstead, and we have expanded our network to Old Harbour town centre,” he shared.

Located at 5 East Street, Fairlane Plaza, in the vicinity of Old Harbour clock, the café offers printing, laminating, and facsimile services in addition to access to top-rated computers and high-speed Internet.

White shared that the facility operates as a homework centre for students, housing 10 computers, each equipped with the full Microsoft Office suite and a full colour laser printer.

“The pupils will be able to conduct research and finalise assignments,” he said, adding that their machines were equipped with graphics and gaming controllers and there was an in-store technician to assist the users.

The cyber café has a public restroom. Sole Cyber Café in Old Harbour is open Mondays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
